About Carolyn

I enjoy working to strengthen and support couples and families in the community.  I have provided mental health services to at-risk youth and counseling to families in need within various healthcare systems.

My work with teen clients is very dear to me.  I enjoy getting to know and understand what motivates them for success.  Watching those in the teen years meet personal goals is very rewarding for me.  I can facilitate bridging the relational gap between teens and parents.

I created and managed a community bereavement program for children, teens and families.  Losing a loved one impacts everyone differently.  I work with parents to address the topics of death, grief and loss in a manner that is developmentally appropriate for their children.  Bereavement is a journey that benefits with patience and support.

Not all grief is a result of death.  We grieve loss with change in our everyday lives.  Change in life is inevitable; with support we can move through our losses with insight.

In addition to my private practice, I have provided crisis mental health services to individuals of all ages in Roseville and the greater Sacramento area.  I consider it an honor to work with individuals, couples and families in the midst of some their greatest struggles.  I am a work in progress too.  I learn from my clients everyday.
